Getting there:
San Galgano lies in the Val di Merse area, about 35 km (19 miles) southwest of Siena.
It is a place easy to reach.
From Siena: take the State road No. 73, towards Massa Marittima and follow the road signs, (San Galgano is close to Monticiano, about half way between Siena and Massa Marittima). The map

The round temple is, like most Italian churches, open in the morning and in the afternoon. The roofless abbey is open all the time.
